All sorts of Wildlife can be seen in the valley, it is common to see Buzzards, Badgers Rabbits and Foxes; in the summer it is sometimes possible to see the peregrine falcons in the Valley!! If you wish we could show you where the many Badger sets can be found in our woodland. Driving down the leafy lane your first encounter may well be with Frank our resident Goat, who will be busy keeping the lane verges tidy The Old Shippon and The Old Smithy are situated in the same peaceful Valley, in secluded, separate private grounds on the banks of the stream which meanders it’s way down the valley to Crackington haven All of the above cottages have been family owned since 1968 and are carefully maintained by the resident owners Charlie and Jane Tippett. A shared laundry room and pay phone is provided and board games are available on loan. Cancleave is a mile from Millook on the coast road; it has a large fenced garden area right next to the coast path. There are spectacular views from here of Bude bay, and as far as Lundy Island.
