It is set in 3.75 acres of grounds including mature gardens and grassland, with the river Dordogne flowing along the bottom of the garden. The farmhouse has been lovingly and thoughtfully restored to reveal original stonework and large oak beams. This property can also be booked with Gite 2 to cater for parties of up to 15 GROUND FLOOR The ground floor has a large open plan kitchen/dining area, which is nicely equipped and furnished with country style furniture. In the lounge there is a T.V., D.V.D player, traditional wood burning stove and plenty of comfortable seating. An exotic wood staircase leads to the landing on the first floor. Also on the ground floor there is a shower room with toilet and wash basin. FIRST FLOOR This has three bedrooms and a shower room with toilet and wash basin. All the bedrooms are furnished with antique furniture, have chestnut parquet flooring and original large oak beams. The master bedroom is 18'x13' (nice and spacious). The main items of furniture it contains are one double bed, bedside cupboards, armoire, chest of drawers and chaise long. Bedrooms two and three both have one double bed, bedside cupboard, wardrobe and chest of drawers. OUTSIDE The front of the house has a nice mature garden with lots of different trees and shrubs, providing plenty of shade to sit and relax under. The rear of the house has a shared 10x5 floodlit swimming pool, which is alarmed to meet French legislation. The large terraced area around the pool is equipped with sun loungers for you to lay and soak up the summer sun. You have your own area with garden furniture and barbeque. The grassland stretches some 230 metres to the river bank, making it large enough for all types of ball games. A boules set and skittles are available. | ||
