West View Cottage & the Garden Annex are set in a ¾ acre garden and is surrounded by farmland on all sides. The cottage has been recently refurbished and is luxuriously and beautifully presented. The one room annex was build 2 years ago and is modern and spacious. Within the cottage there are five double bedrooms, 3 with king size beds and 2 with twin beds. There is also a very comfortable sofa bed in the lounge sleeping two extra. The annex has a double bed and a small sofa bed. Put-up-beds can also be added to all rooms. Two bedrooms are situated downstairs one with dressing room and en-suite and one with shower room opposite. Upstairs there are three bedrooms one en-suite, and two others that share an adjacent bathroom. The self-contained Garden Annex is 5 metres from the main house and contains a double bed seating area (with small sofa bed), kitchenette and shower room. The lounge has an inglenook type fireplace with (gas) log burning stove, three large sofas and Satellite TV, DVD, Video. The farmhouse style kitchen is fully equipped with fridge freezer, electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and microwave. Laundry facilities include a washing machine, drier, Iron & Ironing board. The dinning room seats up to 12 and the patio doors lead into the enclosed private garden with BBQ & garden furniture. All bed linen, towels and heating are included and a Welcome Pack is provided for your arrival. A small gym area is available & bicycles can be hired. There is ample off-road parking (parking for 5+). Telephone & broadband facilities can be made available by arrangement. The hamlet is set on the boarders of Cambridgeshire, Suffolk & Essex & is ideally situated for touring the surrounding countryside. The historic city of Cambridge is 13miles/20mins & the market town of Saffron Walden is 10miles/15mins by car. Chilford Hall, the local vineyard, is less than 5 miles away & for working in Haverhill or Granta Park/Great Abington travelling is approximately 10 mins by car. Addenbrookes Hospital is approx. 15 mins drive. The cottage would suit groups looking for a quiet week out of town just relaxing and catching up with family and friends, but is also well positioned for walking, cycling & touring this beautiful area close to Cambridge. Our weeks run Friday to Friday, Weekend short breaks run Friday to Monday and Midweek short breaks run Monday to Friday. The cost of Short breaks range from £664 to £1596, and full weeks range from £885 to £2128. Price is dependent on season and whether the annex is included. It's really not as expensive as you think; for 10 people staying in the cottage only in low season it would be £88 per person and for 12 staying in the cottage and annex in the peak season it would be £177 per person.
