There is a large sunny garden to the rear. The cottage is situated in the Haugh of Urr, a small country village on the River Urr close to Castle Douglas. The village has an award winning pub serving real ales and superb bar meals, and there is also a post office and shop. It's a great base for exploring the surrounding attractions of Dumfries and Galloway. Ideal for families (the pub is child friendly), couples or groups of friends. The cottage sleeps 4 people with one double room and one twin room. There are two folding beds for extra guests if needed. The private gardens extend to nearly two acres and guests are welcome to walk round. During the summer and when in season our surplus home grown vegetables are available to purchase. Set just outside the Village of Crossmichael a nice easy stroll into the village, where you will find the Thistle Inn, bar meals available and also a Restaurant. Next to the Pub is the Michelin-Starred Plumed Horse Restaurant, further down the Main street is a fully stocked Village Shop & Post Office. Just 4 miles down the road south you will find the Town of Castle Douglas. The Annexe is double glazed and well appointed providing quality and comfortable accommodation. Off road parking is provided and all heating, electricity, Bed linen, towels and tea-towels are included. Sorry no Smoking allowed in the flat and no pets allowed. | ||
