This one bedroom dwelling for up to 2 people, is a well equipped, converted stable, in the peaceful garden of a picturesque 16th century Grade 11 listed thatched cottage in a semi rural location.This delightful self-catering accommodation is convenient for Eastleigh, Winchester, Southampton/Airport, The New Forest, Bournemouth, portsmouth and ferries to the Isle of Wight/France. The perfect retreat for those who prefer seclusion to socialising in a guest house or hotel, whether it be for, a Romantic Getaway from the bustle of everyday life, a Holiday, a Celebratory long Weekend Break, Short Term Business, or a Work Secondment. You may come to enjoy a walk in the country nearby, to watch cricket at The Rose Bowl or football at St. Mary’s Stadium, or to visit friends or relatives. Whatever the reason you can be assured of an initial warm welcome by your hosts, then you are left to yourselves to enjoy the peace and every convenience at your disposal. Enjoy the views of the Thatch, flood lit in the evening, and the fairy tale approach to the Stable entrance. The beautifully designed Stable has a bedroom with double bed, spacious shower room with double shower, kitchen and lounge with gas central heating. Walks through the countryside start 100 metres down the Drove. The Stable is close to local amenities - a petrol station with mini-market/post office and two pubs are within walking distance. The M27 is a ten minute drive away, where there is a retail park hosting a large Marks & Spencer's, Sainsbury's and fast food outlets. Two main line railway stations are nearby with regular trains to London. Southampton Airport is only 15 minutes away by car. Local attractions are listed on the web site and include a whole host of leisure activities. Coastal attractions include Hamble (Howard's Way), The Royal Victoria Country Park, Bournemouth & Southsea. There is parking for 1 car. Please be aware that for the comport of all our guests a NO SMOKING and NO PETS policy applies to The Stable. Sorry we do not have wheel chair facilities. | ||
