Only 3 miles from Fort William town centre, Banavie is an excellent centre for touring the Highlands and enjoying the spectacular scenery of Lochaber which has been seen on the big screen in movies such as Rob Roy and Braveheart. For a day trip, take a drive on the famed 'Road to the Isles' which leads from here to Arisaig and Mallaig. Stop along the way at the Glenfinnan Railway Viaduct, the Bonnie Prince Charlie monument and the Silver Sands of Morar from where you can see the Small Isles of Eigg and Rum. Other possible excursions from 'Tornevis' include exploring the Ardnamurchan peninsula, Glencoe and Rannoch Moor, or Loch Laggan and 'Monarch of the Glen' country. In addition to walking and climbing, there's plenty of opportunities for golf, mountain biking, fishing, watersports, etc. You can take the gondola up into the Nevis mountain range, go on a boat trip from Fort William to see the seals, or ride on the Jacobite steam train to Mallaig. We sit on the South facing shores of Loch Leven, looking across the Loch to the mountains of Glencoe. Each chalet has 2 bedrooms (beds made up for your arrival), bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, spacious living/dining room and balcony. They are very comfortably furnished, double glazed, centrally heated and fully equipped to sleep 4. There is a laundrette on site. The cottage sleeps 8 in 2 double (1 ensuite) and 2 twin rooms. It has 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen(with dishwasher), living/dining room and utility room with washing machine/dryer. All our properties are no smoking and pets are accepted in one of our chalets. All heating, electricity and bed linen is included in our prices. The chalets and cottage have a TV,DVD player, Videp player and CD player. We also have a DVD & Video library in each property. We have our own beach front which is ideal for a picnic, barbeque or just relaxing. If you have your own boat you can launch it from our jetty and the sea loch is ideal for a spot of fishing. | ||
