The village takes its name from the ancient Icene Tribe whose queen was Boudicca. Our historic home with original beams and fireplaces is built in the local flintstone and dates back about 200 years. It was originally three cottages and for over 100 years was one of the village pubs. It was completely renovated and updated when we became the owners 11 years ago. Good choice of food available in a variety of local pubs and restaurants. We offer two comfortable, clean rooms at one end of our house. These two rooms share a luxury guest shower room. Each room has colour T.V., tea/coffee tray and central heating. Both rooms are accessed by a quaint private staircase which is not suitable for elderly or disabled people.
