It was built in 1510 but has all the comforts of modern day living. Our rooms have bath robes,hair dryers, tea/coffee tray with buscuits, toiletries, television, clock radios and comfortable armchairs. En suite and non en-suite rooms available. Breakfasts are a feast of local bacon and sausages, mushrooms, free range eggs and home made preserves. Continental breakfast available for early airport departures. Airport transfers sometimes possible after 09.30 and before 21.00. There are many good restaurants and pubs in our area and we are happy to make recommendations and reservations. We can also book local taxis. We are close to Stansted Airport, Finchingfield, Thaxted, Braintree, Towerlands Equestrian Centre and Great Dunmow. We are also conveniently situated for Lees Priory, The Fennes Estate, the Coach House at Great Saling and The High Barn in our own village of Great Bardfield, all popular wedding venues.
