Guests have their own comfortable sitting room with tea/coffee making facilities. The house is a modern purpose built Norwegian style timber house peacefully situated beside route A964 half way between Kirkwall and Stromness. Westrow Lodge enjoys glorious views over Scapa Flow and the surrounding countryside. There is a local inn within walking distance that you can go to for your evening meal as well as many restaurants in Kirkwall and Stromness that are only a 15 minute drive away. Sorry no smoking and no pets. Westrow Lodge is also the home of “Roving Eye Enterprises” that offers the opportunity to “explore the sunken German Fleet in Scapa Flow without getting wet” on a boat trip utilising a remote operated vehicle that transmits colour video pictures back up to the boat. Our trips start May 1 and run through September. We leave daily from Houton pier in Orphir at 13:20 and the trip is approximately 3 hours including a 45 minute stop on the island of Hoy. Fare is £25 per person, 1/2 price for children. Tickets can be purchased at the local tourist boards or through us direct if you are staying with us. We do not take advance ticketing due to possible adverse weather, equipment malfunctions, etc. | ||
