Moreover, in 1748, eight years after its establishment, it had 29 mortars or piles of stones for pressing rags, which were the raw materials for manufacturing paper, as well as 14 forms for making the various types of paper entrusted to skilled workers, that had been brought specially from Genoa, flanked by local manpower. Today, after careful restructuring which restored life to the entire building, the Paper Mill hosts a hotel where history and tradition fill the facades and internal areas, and where you can enjoy Sicilian recipes prepared to satisfy the demands of an international clientele. | ||
