Petersfield Golf Club was founded in 1892 and until 1997 was based on the Heath in Petersfield. The new course, built in 1995, is firmly established in its new surroundings and mature beyond its years. With its abundance of trees and hedgerows it gives the appearance of, and indeed plays like a very mature course. 18 holes. Par 72. 6,387 yds.

The Garden Chalet is at Church Farm House, East Meon. East Meon is a beautiful Hampshire village with a Norman church and many thatched cottages. There are 2 pubs, both of which serve good food. There is a food store and a public phonebox within 300 yards. Chichester and Winchester are both within 20 miles. There is good sea bathing on the south coast also within 20 miles. Church Farm House is on the southern edge of the village. The chalet is built of brick and has a slate roof which is insulated. It consists of one, very large room (20 ft × 22 ft), a separate power shower and a glassed porch leading to a lavatory containing a w.c. and washbasin. There is a small secluded garden for guests with a marvelous view over sheep fields to the South Downs, and deck chairs are provided. The chalet is well away from the road so is quiet and there is a safe parking space off the road. It is comfortably furnished and heated with an electric fire and electric radiators; the shower and lavatory are also heated. A large portable gas stove is available on request. An electric immersion heater provides running hot water. The kitchen contains an electric cooker with oven, a microwave oven and a refrigerator. Cooking utensils, plates and cutlery are provided. The lounge area has a sofa, comfy chair and 20 inch colour TV. The bedroom area has twin beds (6ft 2 inches × 2 ft 6 inches) with pillows and downies and extra blankets are available. There is a second sofa (6ft 2 inches × 5 ft) which converts to a double bed. View pictures of the Chalet, its furnishings and its surroundings here. Guests must bring a pair of sheets each, bath towels and pillow cases. If the sofa bed is used, it is necessary for guests to bring their own duvet and cover. Cloths, cleaning materials and handtowels are provided. The chalet is intended for 2 adults. Up to 2 children under 2 years or over 12 may accompany their parents. It is not suitable for children between these ages. Dogs are welcome but we ask that the owners bring a box for the dog.
