It is ideally placed for watching the comings and goings around the harbour in this pleasant part of town. Shops, restaurants, a childrens playground and the Ffestiniog steam railway station are all within 5 minutes walk; there are lovely sandy beaches at Borth y Gest (1 km) and Black Rock Sands (3 km).
