Then let Robert and Elaine Murdoch and Family welcome "Ewe", to their working Beef and Dairy farm, situated on the outskirts of the coastal seaside town of Saltcoats. Surrounded by beautiful Scottish countryside. Lochwood Farm commands magnificent, panoramic views over the Ayrshire Valley and Clyde Coast. Located nearby are the airports of Prestwick (25 minutes) and Glasgow (40 minutes). The major towns of Ayr, Prestwick, Troon, Kilmarnock, Irvine and Largs are all within 30 minutes by car, bus or train. We are not situated on a public transport route, but with prior notice, arrangements can be made to pick you up from the stations or depots of Saltcoats or Kilwinning. We pride ourselves on offering four, very cosy, comfortable and unique bedrooms, all located in the newly converted, yet still very traditional, old stone byre. The rooms are all en-suite and are individually named, decorated and furnished to make you feel completely at ease. Children are very welcome here, (we have five - Victoria, Caron, Thomas, Byrony and Grace) so we can easily provide a cot or high chair if required!!! Most of our bedrooms are at ground level, making them suitable for those who have limited mobility. Breakfast is leisurely and imaginative with the Farmhouse Table laden with delicious homemade, home grown and local produce whenever possible. Elaine particularly enjoys homebaking and offers complimentary afternoon tea of pancakes, scones, shortbread or cakes on arrival. Lochwood Farm Steading The Arches - (Self Catering) Lochwood Farm Steading Saltcoats North Ayrshire Scotland KA21 6NG Telephone 01294 552529 Fax 01294 553315 Sleeps 2 - 8 people The "Arches" a wing off of the above old stone byre. Comprising of a choice of a one, two of three bedroom let, sleeping two to eight people, all we ask is that you stay a minimum of three nights - your choice. There is a superb, fully equipped open-plan kitchen with breakfast bar and a living room with three big comfy sofas. Every convenience has been thought of from a dishwasher to a video recorder and even a CD player. The bedrooms are once again of the same high standard to that of our Scottish Tourist Board 4 star awarded bed and breakfast.
