It is situated at the foot of the North Yorkshire Moors, in a peaceful but very convenient location in the village of Snainton, the winner of National Village of the year in 1998. The busy market town of Pickering is nine miles to the west, whilst the seaside town of Scarborough is nine miles to the east. Historic York is an easy drive away. Snainton has a village shop, post office, two petrol stations, doctors surgery, two pubs within walking distance and an excellent children's play area. There is a lovely drive through wooded valleys from Snainton to Scarborough along Troutsdale, giving access to walks beside the River Derwent and forest paths. | ||
