The cottage is painted white throughout with original (mainly Cornish) paintings on the walls There is a sitting room with multifuel stove, and from the window there are far reaching views to the Isles of Scilly, a well equipped kitchen with electric cooker, 'fridge, toaster, kettle, stainless steel saucepans. A bathroom and utility room with washing machine and dryer. There are gardens at front and rear together with a shed to store bikes or surfboards. The cottage is on the out-skirts of St. Just which offers excellent shopping facilities including bakers, butchers, greengrocers and small supermarkets. It also has several excellent eating establishments. Trewerry is a perfect base for exploring this beautiful part of the County with its ancient standing stones, fogous and fortified carns. It is also an area with much industrial history offering the opportunity to investigate the tin mining legacy of the area. St. Just itself has several excellent art galleries and the Tate at St.Ives is only a short drive away. There is a wide choice of superb beaches, some within walking distance, others a few minutes' by car. The Eden Project at St. Austell is about one hour's drive and the Minack Theatre has a selection of drama productions during the summer months. (Remember to take cushions and hot drinks!) Walking is from the door (the coastal footpath is very close) and bird watchers will be delighted by the variety of birds to be seen in the area. The cottage is available for short bookings during the winter months and bookings are now being taken for the 2004 season. Cornwall is the perfect place to relax and re-charge, and Trewerry is the place to do it! Why not take a last minute short break - unwind for the weekend in this perfect part of the country. | ||
