During the summer months, Shaldon holds a 1785 day every Wednesday with local people dressing up in costume and selling their home-made goods from stalls on the village green. Within 50 yards of the hotel we have a wildlife zoo with some fascinating unusual animals and an approach golf course; and 20 yards away we have the Smugglers Tunnel that takes you down to the secluded Ness Beach, sheltered by the Ness Cliff. You can enjoy tennis or join a boat on fishing trips. Watersports and horse riding are both available close by.
